There are two words in ancient Greek that denote time. While "Chronos" represents the measurable general concept of time, "Kairos" refers to a special time imbued with significance or opportunity. Kairos signifies the time of decision and opportunity. The word "때" (time) in Mark 1:15 of the New Testament, where it says "때가 찼고" (the time has come), is a translation of Kairos. Jesus proclaimed that the Kairos of God had come and urged repentance and belief in the Gospel. Kairos is also the time of God's ordained grace. Christians are those who live in the time of Kairos.
