Sejong University Convention hall
The 2024 Let’s Go Korea gathering, led by General Director Missionary Mark Cho, will take place on Saturday, August 10, at the Gwanggaeto Convention Hall in Sejong University under the theme "Grace."
According to the organizers, the event is open to the next generation and to anyone who loves and supports them. They stated, “This gathering aims to transform campus culture into one that reveres Jesus and to raise up young people who are committed disciples of Christ.”
Let’s Go Korea emphasized the significance of grace, citing Hebrews 4:16: “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” They stressed that grace does not discriminate and works regardless of life background, transcending racial and economic boundaries.
“In a time like this when grace is needed more than ever,” the organizers said, “we must approach the throne of grace with bold assurance to receive even greater grace. As we prepare and hold this gathering each year, we have witnessed the Holy Spirit restoring the next generation and calling them to live with a clear identity for the kingdom of God.”
The vision of this year’s event is to see lost sons and daughters return to the Father, regain their identity, and live lives worthy of their calling. Like the prodigal son in Luke 15, this generation is being called back to God. In particular, the gathering encourages the next generation to live lives that seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, while also preparing for a unified Korea.
Guest Speakers and Worship Teams
This year’s speakers include Missionary Sungyo Kim, founder of Key of David; Rev. Eung Ryul Ryu of Korean Central Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.; General Director Mark Cho; Pastor Yukyung Won of POD Church; and drummer Lino. Worship will be led by Roadwave, Susanghan Street, and Heaven Worship. Special guests include musical actor Jihoon Lee and the U-Turn Choir.
Let’s Go Korea was birthed in 2019 when Missionary Mark Cho experienced a powerful prompting from God during several visits to Korea.
“I felt the Father’s deep heart for Korea’s next generation and the hardships they’re facing,” Cho shared. “I began to pray for a gathering specifically for them. The Lord placed on my heart the vision of a youth gathering at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium. Though it was a difficult season, we held the gathering, and it resulted in many powerful testimonies.”
Missionary Cho added, “There are 120 intercessors praying daily with the desire that this year’s Let’s Go Korea would transform campus culture into one that honors Jesus. We pray that every young person who attends will encounter Jesus deeply and commit themselves as His disciples. We also hope Let’s Go Korea will be used to awaken the next generation to prepare for a unified Korea.”
He concluded, “As we continue to seek the Lord in prayer without ceasing, we believe we will witness a wave of revival where Korea’s next generation goes beyond unification and steps into the global calling God has for them.”
Now in its third year, Let’s Go Korea began in August 2022 with its first gathering at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium under the theme “The Prodigal Son Returns.” In 2023, gatherings were held at the Osanri Prayer Mountain on December 2 (focused on families) and December 9 (focused on the next generation).
